Caldecott Medal
The Caldecott Medal is one of the most prestigious awards for children's literature in the United States. It acknowledges the artist of the best picture book for children by a United States illustrator. It is given annually by the Association for Library Service to Children which is a division of the American Library Association. It is named in honor of the 19th century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott.
